Tamara Simeunovic

Tamara is a passionate storyteller with a love for nature, woodland walks with her seizures alert dog Chess, and exploring art galleries and museums. When not writing, she enjoys playing chess in her local Chess Club in the library, listening symphonic metal, rock, 2000s pop and Latin music, cooking and baking, creating unique recipes, and spending time in the garden planting herbs and having tea parties and art groups with her friends.

Her interests also include watching documentaries, watching crime dramas like CSI, TV shows such as It’s Me or the Dog and Dogs Behaving Very Badly, and iconic series like Game of Thrones and The Inbetweeners. Musicals, including Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia, any Disney movies and visits to Kew Gardens, art galleries and museums are among some of her other passions.

A lifelong reader, Tamara draws inspiration from authors such as J.K. Rowling and Jacqueline Wilson and Alison Weir. Jacqueline Wilson’s Tracey Beaker taught her how to navigate bullying at a young age, while J.K. Rowling’s journey from vulnerability to global literary success inspired her to become an author. Alison Weir gave her a love of history since her teenage years. Through her own writing, Tamara hopes to inspire others, raise awareness of epilepsy, and continue the tradition of storytelling that informs, entertains, and empowers readers.
